The Briefing: Imperial Agent

Hello and welcome to my first The Briefing.  This is the first in a short series of blogs I will be writing.  These blogs will focus on an ideal mission for each class.  A mission that is fun, creative, and uses the unique potential of each class.  Today I am going to start with the Imperial Agent.  There is so much potential with the Imperial Agent.  The ability to create a shield in the heat of battle, call in an air strike, and pick off enemies with your trusty sniper rifle are a few of the weapons the Imperial Agent has up his sleeve.  Our mission is going to take place on the planet Hutta where Agent Kaset will have to infiltrate the palace of the infamous Hutt Yabuu.  Inside the palace he will need to retrieve some information about local militia leaders, interrogate Yabuu's asisstant, and then assasssinate Yabuu. 

You start off in a small town outside of the palace asking around to find a way into the palace.  Agent Kaset finds a peasant who is willing to lead you to a secret entrance for a small fee.  He leads you to a pipe outside the palace and says it should take you inside.  Now you have the choice to either a) Kill him and continue inside or b) Pay him 50 credits and then have him accompany you.  Proceed into the pipe and emerge in dark room with a cracked open door letting in the little light that you see with.  The next part is tricky.  You can either a) Barge through the door and trust your shooting skills and take out the guards with you blaster (this would result in your friend dying if you brought him) b) Run out and put up a shield and throw a thermal detonator and kill the guards (this would also result in the death of your friend) or c) send out a recon droid to find the guards and have it detonate while you sit safely in the room.  Proceed down a hallway and check doors.  Most rooms will have a few medkits or ammo, but one will have security key.  Proceed to the end of the hall to an elevator.  Use the key to bring the elevator down to your level.  When it opens there will be three guards on it.  Now you either a) trust your blaster skills (friend dies) b) thermal detonator (friend dies) or c) set up a trap with a proximity mine while you hide in a room (friend lives).  Go into the elevator and head up.

He is where the fun really begins.  When the elevator opens there will be about ten guards with guns pointed at you.  There are three things that can happen after you talk to the head guy.  a) Your friend (if still alive) convinces him to take us the the assistant. b) If friend is dead you get taken to the assistant but contained. c) You try and take on the guards and get stunned and thrown into a cell.  Now if u had a or b happen you can talk to the assistant and threaten him for the information you need.  if you are thrown in jail, he comes to visit.  If he comes to visit you have to bribe him with 100 credits to let you out and then you can pay 50 more and get the info or threaten him for it.  No matter which way you went, your friend is no longer traveling with you.    

After you leave his office head through a hallway and defeat all the guards in your way.  You will reach a room with a large computer.  Start downloading all the information you need.  While you are doing this you learn via the computer's security system that troops are coming in from outside the palace to defeat you.  Now here is the challenging part.  Head over to the window and pull out the handy dandy sniper rifle.  Take out all of the troops and proceed down another hall.

This is it.  The big moment.  The throne room.  There it is blast door and all.  Wait... did you say blast door?  How am I going to get through a blast door?  I know!  my trustworthy laser lockpick.  No that didn't work.  I got it!  Ill call in an aerial strike.  No I'm inside.  Fine I guess I will have to hack the keypad.  And hack it you shall.  Now the blast door opens.  There are five guards and three hounds.  First thing you do is throw a smoke grenade.  Everyone is blind.  Smoke clears.  Where did you go?  Where did that themal detonator come from?  Wait... thermal detona....*boom*!!!!  Now all thats left is you and Yabuu.  But where are you?  Thats right behind Yabuu with a choke wire.  Now that the deed is done you have to escape.

The escape should be easy.  Just shoot a wire out the big hole you made in the wall and zip right down to the ground.  Defeat the few bands of troops patrolling the palace and return to town.  Now you have completed the mission.  This could be a great mission for the agent.  It involves his craftiness, some stealth, and a sniper rifle.  Next time I will walk you through a potential Trooper mission.  Till next time, you have been briefed.
